To make both MTB pedal pins visually distinguishable, the XL pin features a pre-applied thread locking patch on the M4 thread. This allows you to easily identify XL and Regular pins in your home workshop.

The thread locking compound is not technically required, as all DEKADE pedal pins are tightened to 3 Nm, ensuring a secure fit in the pedal body. However, it simplifies differentiation during installation or replacement.

Both the Regular and XL pins use an M4 base thread that tapers to M3 at the contact section. This stepped thread design ensures reliable retention while maintaining easy pin replacement in case of bending or breakage.
